Little League has started!

"I'm convinced that every boy, in his heart, would rather steal second base than an automobile."
-Tom Clark

Well, life is different from here forward. Little League has started. Carter is on the Bees.

Look at the smiles on this kid's face. I think he is enjoying himself. The truth is, I am not sure who is enjoying it more... me or him.

We are blessed.

The Pledge of Allegiance, and the Little League Pledge.

I trust in God. I love my country and will respect its laws. I will play fair and strive to win. But win or lose, I will always do my best!

Not bad for a six year old. :D

I think he is having a good time. :D

New shots of the boys!

I thought you might enjoy a couple snapshots of the boys. Cooper is now about 41/2 months. He just started enjoying this activity saucer about a week ago. It is amazing. He can already nearly plant his feet flat whereas last week he could barely touch.

Carter is showing off the pajamas that he picked out tonight. The arms and legs are covered with huggalugs (skeletons and pumpkins, respectively). The shirt is simply a basketball shirt that he has. The boxers are "space" themed and glow in the dark. The socks are from Grandma Sandy and they have T-Rex dinosaurs on them. He picked the outfit out all by himself. Surprised?

Boy Time

In February, Aunt Trina, cousins Evan & Quinn, Aunt Kim & Shelly drove to San Diego to celebrate Carter's 5th birthday (a month late) and see baby Cooper.

Aunt Kim loves to hold Cooper (even if she doesn't like her picture taken).

Here are the four cousins:

And here are the three monkeys:

In March, Carter & Cooper went to LA for their cousin Quinn's 3rd birthday party.  Grandma O and Grandma Sherilyn loved holding Cooper.

He's here...

Our family grew by one today. Our new baby boy is here.

Welcome Cooper Axel Provins!

Tracy gave birth via c-section at 9:41am on January 19, 2009. He weighed 7 lbs, 6 oz and measured 20". He is a beautiful, healthy baby.

Tracy had a scheduled c-section on Monday morning. Here are photos taken before and after surgery.

First shot with Mommy and Daddy...

Auntie Trina got to go into the delivery room towards the end and then she stayed with Tracy in the recovery room.

In the afternoon, Carter came to meet his little brother and wanted to show him his new toy.
Here's a photo of the new family.

Here are some photos of Cooper's first day visitors - Grandma Sandy, Aunt Kaye & Uncle Paul, Grandpa O (Grandma O not pictured), Aunt Tae & Uncle Phil, and (Honorary) Aunt Rachael.

Here's a photo of Cooper with Tracy's wonderful OB/GYN
Dr. Trina Manes.

Here are three more photos of Cooper at age 2 days. These were taken and edited by our great friend Tessa Desharnais of GrinAndShareItPhoto.com.

She came back a couple of weeks later and took more photos. Check them out on Tessa's blog.

Carter is 5!

Carter turned 5 on January 6!  His friends came over on his birthday for a Hot Wheels birthday party.  They had a racing good time.

Favorite Photos of Carter

Tracy's favorite photo this year which was taken by Tessa:

Doug's Unexpected Visitor:

I went down to my office early today, before the family was awake, to wrap up my work so that I can get on with my holiday weekend. Just before sunrise I heard something outside and this is what I found.

It is moments like this that remind me as a parent to be thankful for the blessings in my life.

I hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday as well! I know that I will.
